The BBC

The BBC required the highest standards of integrity and independence – qualities Margaret Gilmore now brings not only to her journalism but to her work advising, lecturing, chairing conferences, writing and presenting films and videos, and  assimilating and analysing complex documents and reports. Her highly developed communications skills include broadcasting and public speaking; writing articles, reports, and scripts.

She has a developed sense of how the media will play stories and what they will seize on – and of how the public and the government will react. She has covered some of the toughest and most sensitive assignments for the BBC and understands the importance of presentation and focus in putting across a specific message, and the importance of  keeping an open mind and of always being aware of the bigger picture beyond the specific story. She has a full understanding of and ability to penetrate government, the civil service and industry and has strong contacts in many fields.
